Fantasy baseball
The engine is built and all 30 MLB teams are tuned. What is left is plugging in the statistics.
What is fantasy baseball?
Fantasy baseball is a league among friends where everyone builds a roster out of real MLB players. Home runs, runs batted in and stolen bases count for your hitters; from the mound, it is wins, strikeouts and earned run average.
It starts with a draft, each manager picking players in turn. After that, the season decides.
A hundred and sixty-two games to come back
Baseball is unlike any other pool, and its length is what makes it so. A season runs 162 games, nearly every day from April to September. A rough draft does not sink you by October: you have six months to climb back, and one hitter on a tear can turn a standings page upside down.
It is also what makes tallying by hand unbearable, and exactly what the platform removes.
Where baseball stands here
Under construction, said plainly rather than written in the future tense: hockey is the only sport served today. On the home page, baseball appears in the list of sports marked « Soon », and it cannot be chosen yet.
What already exists is the engine: the live draft, the scoring you set yourself, trade windows, and standings that compute without anyone. Baseball is not waiting to be built, it is waiting to be plugged in.
All 30 MLB teams are already here
Each of the 30 MLB teams has its palette, ready for baseball's arrival. You will then be able to pick your favourite, and its colours will add touches to MonPool's theme.
Hockey, meanwhile, is served
The fantasy hockey league runs today, on official NHL statistics. Creating your account now puts you in place for baseball the day it opens, with nothing to redo.
Baseball is on the way. Your account takes a minute and a valid email address.
